I'm Karla Ovalle — an interior designer, artist, and lifelong observer of the way spaces make us feel.
My path to design wasn't a straight line. Before working on residential interiors, I spent a few years orchestrating large-scale environments for world-class events, including the PGA Tour and MLB All-Star Games, where I learned that design isn't decoration. It's choreography. It's the invisible architecture of how people move, feel, and remember.
That experience gave me something no classroom could: an understanding of how design shapes emotion at scale, and a relentless attention to detail that I now bring to every home, every room, every corner.
Based in Santa Barbara, I work with clients on residential interiors and bespoke furniture projects. While I believe the best designers never stop learning, my practice is grounded in formal interior design education, a foundation that sharpens my instincts and brings both creative and technical rigor to every project.
My approach is personal by design. I take the time to understand how you live, what you love, and what you want to feel when you walk through the door. Then I build something that's unmistakably yours.
